Discussion of Binda's family background and coming to Reed, orientation trip to Breitenbush, and academic experiences with Charles McKinley, George Alderson, Ralph Macy, and Frank Munk as her thesis advisor. She details student social life, building the ski cabin, Lutz's, the library, the jazz club, politics, the 1948 Democratic National Convention, camping, outdoor activities, traditions, Canyon Day, and marriage to Jack Churchill. Binda also discusses her later work in Africa, at the Voice of America, her remarriage, and her daughter.
